My trusty Ray Cook 52 deg wedge. Had it from when I started playing and if I can get the club to the back of the ball ill use it from 60yds in. Dave CAC handed Geordie.

I can play from 5 iron to sand iron depending on factors like, slope, lie, pin postion (how much green to the flag), distance and firmness of green. I put my chipper in the garage some months ago as I felt it was limiting my choices.

Like others have said, it depends on the shot but it can be pw, gw, 54" or 60" wedge. I very rarely use my 8 or 9 iron to chip and run but it is a shot I should work on.

Gald to hear that the chipper is redundant (Michael). It takes up a valuable space in the bag that can be used for a more versitile club..

Like putting the ball in the air so a wedge of some description depending on distance.

7, 8, 9 from just off the green. wedges from the fairway, if there's any obstacles to go over and from thicker lies.

I usually use a 52 wedge anywhere from 60 yards and in, but if conditions greenside are awful (i.e. with the really wet weather at the mo) I will switch to a 56 sand iron with the extra bounce. I also carry a 60 wedge for "up and over" or "land very softly" shots.

From the fairway or edge of the green it's the PW. If I have to go over something or it's a fluffy lie it's the 52* unless it's a tight pin and then it's a 56* opened up and flopped

Completely depends on the type of shot, distance to green, condition and lay of grass in front of you, pin position, weather etc etc etc.

I just try to picture a shot, decide which club is best for that then execute the shot perfectly... works about 1 in 10 times!!
