I purchased a set of these irons last December - they are a combination set which varies from a straight blade in the low irons (8, 9 & PW) and shallow cavity backs which get progressively deeper for the longer irons. The club heads are quite small and can appear intimidating at address - but once you've hit a few balls this changes. They're definitely for the good ball-striking mid to low handicapper, as they are not as forgiving as some other clubs. BUT - when you hit a shot well they feel like butter and enable you to manufacture/shape shots quite easily, and, being Ben Hogan, they are of the highest quality and look beautiful. My handicap hasn't yet started to come down but I'm enjoying my game a lot more, and I wouldn't swap them for anything.
