The G5 clubs are a good buy and would recommend them to those that want to lower their handycaps

Started playing this year and I wanted a good set of irons at a reasonable price. Saw that Today's Golfer recommended the G5 as good game improver irons. I bought a set in the American Golf store's sale. So at £150 off they were extremely good value. However, I now know that the G10 irons were coming out as replacements.

Probably fair to say that the irons are better than I am! As my technique is improving I get a good flight and with a clean contact they feel great.

The club looks good at address and it gives me confidence to hit them straight, which 9 times out of 10 they do.

I bought these last year from American Golf (sheffield). Happy with the quality of the custom fitting, and the clubs arrived one week later.

These are very forgiving irons (good job really). I have standard grips (white) which when first used are a little smooth/slippy. After about 3 rounds they scuffed up a little and then became very good.

I have standard steel shafts.

The club heads are excellent quality. When you catch a sweet one, you can't feel it leave the club.

I do prefer the Tour wedges to the Sand and Pitch wedge (bought them seperately on ebay).

Overall these are expensive clubs, but worth it. The quality speaks for itself, the service (american golf and ping) is excellent. Highly Recommended.
