I got a set of these in September as an Upgrade to my G2s. At first I was unsure on the change not being to keen on Ping's fasination with making the heads of the irons so large and thick soled. However unlike the G5s which I also tried I took to these instantly. The Titanium Face gives a very soft feel to the club and makes Ball-striking very nice. I can now tell when I've middled the ball or hit it off-centre much easier now. The ball also comes off the face with some venom and as all the magazines and golf channels tell you, ball speed is a important stat. Of course having the Titanium Face meant the club would be lighter so Ping have put more weight in the Perimeter and a 20g Insert in the Toe. This makes the clubs even more forgiving on mishits. My only gripe with the clubs is you feel must get customer fitted before you buy them. Having the correct shafts, lie angle and lofts will make these clubs really special. I ordered my set with my G2 Spec and found I hit the ball a mile high. A trip to Ping and 4 degree adjustment on the lofts soon had me hitting the ball on a better flight and about 15 yards further with each club. The clubs are a lot of money with a setr probably setting you back around £749 but they are built to last. With Pings fitting policy these clubs would last you a lifetime.
