Formerly known as Southern Gailes, this superb new course sits in prime links land adjacent to Western Gailes with Glasgow Gailes to the north and Kilmarnock Brassie to the south. It has been hailed as an equal to Kingsbarns and unsurprisingly, was designed by Kyle Phillips. A classic links, it has been recognised as one of the best new courses in the world (Robb Report 2004). Location: From Glasgow, take the M77 south towards Kilmarnock/Ayr. At the Dutchhouse Roundabout, follow signs for the A78 Irvine. Head north on the A78 towards Irvine for 5 miles and at the next roundabout take the second exit on the left. The entrance to Dundonald Links is half a mile along on the left hand side. From Prestwick Airport, take the A78 towards Irvine and after 5 miles on this road at the first roundabout take the second exit on the left. The entrance to Dundonald Links is half a mile along on the left hand side.

Dundonald is a stunning links course in the heart of Ayrshire golf country. There is not a poor hole on this course which is in superb condition. The only problem was water in the bunkers although that wasn't surprising considering the deluge experienced through October. Great views across the Firth of Clyde towards Arran and Ailsa Craig make this an unforgettable golfing experience

Superb Course,
i've played most courses in the local area and this is by far and away my favourite.

Just played dudonald links,absolutely awesome.again not a poor hole,links at its best.staff very welcoming.excellent championship course,look out for thename in next few years
