If you ever get the opportunity to play at the Wild Coast then do it, and count yourself lucky. This is an amazing golf experience, some of the most spectacular scenery you will see on a course anywhere and truly a course where you will feel privileged from start to finish.
A word of warning, the Wild Coast becomes incredibly difficult when the wind blows, which it often does. If you are the sort of golfer that becomes frustrated at lost balls after reasonable shots then do not play this course on a windy day. However, if you are lucky enough to get fine weather then enjoy the experience for what it probably is, a one off. I have been lucky enough to play here twice.
Despite the compulsory cart I highly recommend taking "caddies". These middle aged women (who all wear long socks as they think it will stop a snake bite!) are really invaluable for not only finding your ball in what is bush rather than rough, but also for adding to the African experience.
