The signature hole is undoubtedly the 151 yard 14th. An elevated tee looks towards a green set within a vast trout pond which requires an accurate shot to stay out of trouble. Eskdale prides itself on a quiet and relaxed feel.

Location: From the South Leave the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 Westwards towards Barrow. At Greenodd turn right on to the A5092 to Broughton in Furness. From there follow the A595 all the way to the river Esk. After crossing the River the entrance to the private drive to Eskdale Estate is to the right after 300 yards, just before the road winds it way uphill towards Muncaster castle From the North Leave the M6 at junction 43 or 42 and make for Cockermouth. Follow the signs to Eggremont on the A595. Passing Gosforth and Holmrook you will come to Muncaster castle on the right. Half a mile further downhill as the A595 bends to the right you will find our entrance on the left

My favourite course! A hidden gem in the Lake District. Located in the flood plain of the river Esk it can be damp under foot but flat with lovely fairways. Greens are well kept and mainly flat. Fantastic signature hole over a large trout pond!
