I played libbaton in October before all the bad weather hit Devon, and found that the staff their to be very helpful, the course is a stern test from someone who is a 6 handicapper at the age of 76 !!!
Only thing I found was disappointing was some members poor etiquette, but a nice pint of local beer soon made me forget

Great challenging course, a real must for the single figure golfer

as a regular, i think it is very good value for money and very very well maintained, the tee off's are very good condition and well marked out. The green as very well cut and same with the fairway. The club house is very traditional and welcoming.

Libbaton has the potential to be a good course, unfotunately though, each time Ive played there I feel a little let down by its ccondition. Its poorly maintained most of the time! I actually played there very recently, the fairways were uncut to the point I lost two balls in the middle of fairways, the pins also looked they hadn't been moved for weeks, the greens were very poor. Their golf buggies leave a lot to be desired also. They are very old and badly maintained.
The club house is very simple, it could probably do with a lick of paint, the friendly female staff do god job though, theyre friendly and very accommodating.
Their shop is sufficient and has everything youre likely to need. No sign of a PGA golf pro though, they dont seem to have one.
Overall, I see this club as a place that is not living up to its potential and is a little bit pricey considering its general condition.
