Pulrose Golf Course
Right on the Edge of Douglas lies the Pulrose Golf Course, where the Douglas Golf Club meets. A pay and play golf course, founded in 1891 and maintained in first class condition, this course offers exceptional value for money. There is variety of challenging holes, notably the par three seventeenth from an elevated tee to a green some 200 feet below. A seven iron to a wood depending on the conditions will be needed for the superb 332 yard par four second hole which requires a well placed drive to set up a very difficult mid iron second shot into a high and closely guarded green.Contact Information

This has to be one of the best value for money days out when it comes to golf. It costs just £14 for a day ticket and with this you can get in two rounds of golf! The course itself is very challenging and the 2nd and 16th are a challenge for all levels. The clubhouse is new and the food there is excellent value for money...they even do proper chips not the frozen ones like some more expensive establishments I could mention. The only negative is that it can get a bit boggy if there has been a prolonged period of rain but otherwise it is an excellent course with plenty of variety.
