What the club says: Right on the Edge of Douglas lies the Douglas Golf Course formerly known as Pulrose. A pay and play golf course, founded in 1891 and maintained in first class condition, this course offers exceptional value for money. There is variety of challenging holes, notably the par three seventeenth from an elevated tee to a green some 200 feet below. A seven iron to a wood depending on the conditions will be needed for the superb 332 yard par four second hole which requires a well placed drive to set up a very difficult mid iron second shot into a high and closely guarded green.

Really tough start to this course with some great holes. Greens were lush and nice pace.
This course has some really challenging holes, and would defiantly recommend.

Douglas Golf Course on the Isle Of Man, is definitely worth visiting and playing. A beautiful 18 hole course, with plenty of challenging and variation between holes. A 1st class quality kept course and facilities.

The course has not looked back since hosting the Island Championships a couple of years ago. Well presented course and ideal for all levels of player. Would recommend the club house for lunch afterwards

I played the course early one morning, the tees are a bit tired in places. However the fairways and greens are in excellent condition, with a good covering of grass, but some care has been taken by the green-keepers to look after the course. It is not too challenging a course, but has used the shape of the land well.

A municipal course and unfortunately this is often reflected in how well it is maintained. Catch it at a good time of the year however, after a good spell of weather and it's a cracker. A nice layout, good challenge and very good value.

This has to be one of the best value for money days out when it comes to golf. It costs just £14 for a day ticket and with this you can get in two rounds of golf! The course itself is very challenging and the 2nd and 16th are a challenge for all levels. The clubhouse is new and the food there is excellent value for money...they even do proper chips not the frozen ones like some more expensive establishments I could mention. The only negative is that it can get a bit boggy if there has been a prolonged period of rain but otherwise it is an excellent course with plenty of variety.
