Great little municipal parkland course and one I play regularly, some forgiving fairways but also some tight dog legs, nice mix of par 3's and overall very well kept,
The clubhouse does great food and the pro shop has a good mix of products, at £16 a round it's decent value for 18 holes of golf.

This is based on a game in February when the course was muddy and we played on winter tees and greens.
In the summer it is a very tight,challenging course.

Tight course with narrow fairways,accuracy is essential. If there has been persistent rain then the course tends to become waterlogged.

Good value for money and very well kept greens. Some tricky holes with water hazards, can have a problem with draining now and then. Good value membership which will eventually be taken!

Take into consideration that this is a Municipal and there is little to complain about. The course was in excellent condition, making you think off the tee with some devilish tree positions. Maybe one slight issue would be a lack of par 3 and par 5s but the myriad par 4s are well thought out. Will definitely be back.

Short course, especially on the front 9. Player must resist always hitting the long ball and employ good course management using long irons to tee off on holes 5, 15, 16.
