Golf course review of Remedy Oak Golf Club

Currently ranked 57 in England's Top 100 courses. Opened in 2005 I have wanted to play it for some time but you cannot "pay & play" - eventually found a "Charity Day" for £75 which fitted the bill. My feelings about the course/club are mixed and best summarised by pros and cons.
Pros: High quality greens; some great/beautiful holes; very well maintained/manicured.
Cons: Modest clubhouse/locker rooms; stony paths; scrappy areas quite an eyesore; poor/absent signage; a tricksy 18th.
In my opinion this club is trying to be something than it is not with it's exclusivity (£5k to join and £2.5k annual membership) and very restricted ability to play. It IS a very good course but there are plenty of others that I would choose to play again ahead of this one.

Undoubtedly one of the best courses to have opened in the UK this century! The course is an excellent layout meandering through mature forests and it makes excellent use of the existing landscape.
Yes the clubhouse is modest in size, but the owner is limiting membership to just 400. The locker room was well appointed with lockers, showers and a never ending supply of towels. The staff are excellent and attentive and the food was very good.
In my opinion this course is on a par with the Edinburgh at Wentworth.

Probably the finest conditoned course in England. Greens were 11.5 when we played and 4 putts were not uncommon. Fantatsic woodland course, that expensive, but worth every penny. Great breakfast and the chat with Harry Redknapp at halfway made the day.

As a guest I received a very warm and friendly welcome, the fairways are immaculate and the greens superb. Take extra golf balls if you don't hit straight.
Definately worth a visit and deserves it's Top 100 Golf Course status.

This is a superb golf course. By miles the best in the area. The course is in magnificent condition from the Tees through to lightening fast and difficult to read greens. A great experience from start to finish and a must play. A little expensive at £85 but that did include coffee and a full english breakfast!
