La Manga Club Resort
South Course (La Manga Golf Club)
Originally designed by Robert Putman and modified by Arnold Palmer, the South Course has undergone a complete refurbishment over the last couple of years. The main changes include more water hazards, tree plantation and green alterations and has seen it become much more of a challenge to the discerning golfer. The course is located in the centre of the valley and features wide palm-fringed fairways, a number of strategically positioned bunkers and plenty of cunning water hazards. The front nine is probably the tougher, with two par 3s measuring over 215 yards and some daunting par 4s, many of which demand accurate driving between lakes and bunkers.
18 holes. Par 73. 6998 yards. Parkland.
North Course (La Manga Golf Club)
The North Course is slightly shorter than the South but has tighter fairways and larger greens. This undulating course is positioned between palm trees, lakes and barrancas (natural gullies) with precision rather than length required to score well. Built to USGA specification, the amount of movement in the greens adds to the challenge, especially the short par 3 2nd, which has three different tiers.
18 holes. Par 71. 6289 yards. Parkland.
West Course (La Manga Golf Club)
Set amongst La Manga's pine woodland, the West Course offers a great alternative to the other, more classical championship courses. This undulating layout can be very deceiving, with the frequent changes in elevation making club selection the crucial factor to scoring well. The front nine is very tight and demands accurate driving if you are to stay clear of the barrancas. The back nine is much more open but still manages to offer a decent challenge. Set up amongst the hills, the West Course is a favourite with guests because of the wonderful views and the challenge offered by the course.
18 holes. Par 73. 6527 yards. Parkland.Contact Information

Three beautiful courses situated close together, the south and north are long, but offer wide open fairways, whilst the west is tight and complex. All three are challenging, but offer sublime views and are a pleasure to play.

Absolutely beautiful courses. The West course was by far-and-away my favourite. Whilst tight, it was in superb condition, and on one tee, we just stood there for a few minutes to take in the peace and quiet (don't worry, there was no-one behind us).
Teeing off from a massively elevated tee also makes you feel great when you hit it straighta dn the ball seems to go forever!
Disappointed with the night life around La Manga in October (ie there wasn't any). If only, this wasn't the case, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The Course

West Course by far the best, although not for faint hearted, as some of the holes look daunting. Tree lined fairways almost certianly mean you keep the driver in the bag -it is so important to keep ball on short stuff. Excellent condition for January, and course much quieter than the North and South.
North ok and better than South which disappointedThe Course

La Manga South Course.
Long(ish) with wide open fairways which really allows the longer hitters to 'open shoulders' The back 9 is more challenging of the two halves.
North Course.
Although shorter it is more of a challenge than the South Course
West Course.
Certainly the most interesting and pretty course of the three at La Manga Club, you can almost forget the driver and concentrate on keeping your ball in play - Love it.
All three course are excellent and probably the best in southern spain. The Course

Unfortunately they had just put down winter dressing when I played the North Course, so it's difficult to comment on greens. It was a wonderful challenging course, with long Par 5's and pretty scenery.
I also played the West course along the mountain side. It a short course but I really enjoyed it. some very challenging holes and good quality greens. The Course

Tough course near mountain egde. Short holes requiring skill and thought. Only used driver twice. You better be good at course management and accurate with irons.
