Calanova Golf Club
This excellent new layout lies in the beautiful Mijas valley of golf. With the imposing Mijas mountains on one side and the sea on the other, it offers spectacular views from every hole. Designed by Manuel Pinero, this 18 hole course was completed in late 2005 and is a great, but fair test of golf with every hazard clearly visible from the tee on each hole.

Overall layout of the course is good and gets very testing in parts. Green conditions were poor and course needs a bit of TLC!

A testing course for golfers of any level. Good deals offered. Course condition has steadily improved during the year and the fairways and greens are in great condition this summer. Don't leave valuables in your bag or buggy!

Calanova has beautiful scenery and a very competitive price. The greens were very average and the fairways had boggy parts and bold patches, but that aside the course was very interesting and challenging. As a mid to high handicapper I would play this course again and thoroughly enjoyed it. Do have to watch out for Romanian and Moroccan immigrants stealing stuff from buggies.

to be fair, the price was very good. however, the course was not. The greens were terrible and the fairways poor. The area around most of the greens looked like a building site. The staff were very freindly and there are no faults there. The course has a fantastic layout though and could be amazing if it were looked after and bought up to standard.

A recently opened course, it's greens have yet to reach their best quality. However this is more than reflected in the cost of a round and is probably one of the cheapest courses on the Costa at the moment. It is an interesting and challenging layout in the hills behind Fuengirola. It can be breezy up there at times but during the warm weather it is ideal.

as others have mentioned the course is new but one of the best and value for money at 42eu including the buggey is very good the course at the moment is in great shape as allways if you go to spain at all do yourself a good turn and play it

This is a very young course and, typically, very hilly. It has some beautiful shaped holes and there is enough of a challenge for golfers of all levels. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
