Vale da Pinta is a challenging course for the golf beginner. On Gramacho a different type of fairway grass which produced no bounce and roll, despite 29 degree temperatures in September.

Kept in fine condition
Despite the difficulties of the pandemic and the puerile UK government manoeuvring, Pestana have done a splendid job in keeping the course at its best.Reviewer Rating

Amazing Golf Resort - Go there !
Gramacho and Vale da Pinta are two adjacent courses which are part of the Pestana Golf Resort. There are other courses associated with Pestana but these two are next to the residences where most people stay. Gramacho is the best in my opinion, a fantastic layout and a lovely first hole to start your round. The quality of the greens was amazing and the fairways were like carpets. Vale da Pinta is a harder slog, lots of climbs and the walk from 18 to the clubhouse is a killer up hill ... but you have to play it just for hole 13 ... can you reach the green ??Reviewer Rating

This is such a great course it's very hilly so I would 100% use a buggie! Great layout and some stunning holes on here! Certainly not an easy course but very enjoyable

Typical algarve magic
A typical algarve course that is simply magic to play. Fantastic layout and very scenic. Clubhouse and shop excellent. Staff very welcoming.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 19.1)

One of my favourites
This course is one of my favourite courses just love everything about it variety and difficulty its got the lot. Just one small thing had a run in with one of marshals about slow play it wasn't warranted as the group behind us were a full hole to the rear i was not impressed. PESTANA RESORT - VALE DA PINTA
This was a fine end to our break at Pestana Resort - Silves and Gramacho were lovbely different courses - this one (in my opinion) was a mixture of the best bits of both of the other two - barren and sandy round the edges on a few holes, very green and lush round the edges on others - the greens were the best we played on all week, tough to read but incredibly true. There are some very challenging holes not least the signature 13th across a big lake - For me, if i had to call it, this would be my favourite (though it is very close) of the three courses we played!
