Woodham Golf & Country Club
This par 72 6,688 yard course is considered to be among one of the best in the area and having hosted the Northern PGA tournament, its credentials speak for themselves. A mature setting sees the course meander through some awkwardly positioned trees, not to mention numerous water hazards making it an enjoyable and challenging round for all levels of golfer.Contact Information

Always enjoy playing here, avoid in winter though, but in summer its a delight. lovely picturesque holes and not overly demanding. Great for a society day.

Excellent course, one of my favourites in the area. Great variation of holes and superb greens. The back 9 is one of the most challenging in the north east with 5 holes having water to carry and the formidable par 3 17th.
Unfortunately it is not an all year course. Drainage is very poor. No fault to the greenkeepers, just the fact that the course is built on clay. Go in the summer months though and you'll have a great timeThe Course

Really nice course with some excellent holes to try you out. In particular the 13th,14th,and 15th with water being in play on all of them. Course in excellent condition considering we played it in late autumn, so credit to the green keepers. Also made to feel very welcome, as well as offering the best value for money we have found in county Durham.

Cost £14 each on Saturday 26 September on a 2 for 1 deal. Although the course is long, this is mainly due to five par 5s. Seven of the par 4s are less than 360 yards so reachable in two for average golfers. Nevertheless, there was enough going on to keep you focused. I agree with previous comment about greens - they had been hollow-tined the week before and not filled with sand. Putting, and to an extent short chips, was therefore a lottery. One member that I spoke to thought it was too early, especially since there were still some competitions to play. I would recommend this course - good value and a decent test.

The winter greens in september were needless. It added extra putts for no reason. Still it was an enjoyable course. Challenging distance. Golf buggy was a bit ropey

Nice, challenging course that was sadly poorly prepared for the winter. A golf course should never resort to cutting holes in the fairway as winter greens.

Excellent and very tough course. Accuracy and course management will be rewarded here. Unfortunately I don't possess either lol. Looking forward to returning hopefully with better weather and a better score.

Lovely Parkland course with mature trees and soft but still quite quick greens.
Friendly bunch and take 2 4 1 vouchers so cost about £11 each midweek .

Unfortunatley the memory of a nice course was spoilt by the 3 groundsmen who attend our tee shot and putting on 8 of the last 9 holes which really put us off our game. Why they couldn't work counter-clockwise so that each group would only be inconvenienced for one hole of their round instead of one group being followed for half of their game with engines whirring!
