Daily golf deal - 11 quid each. Great layout, greens not up to much and the bunkers were poor. Great welcome and very friendly staff.

I played this course last October and thought it was a really well kept golf course with a great design and very friendly staff, so I joined up as a member and my game has improved. I would recomend this course to anyone who wants to improve there game.

Played this course for the first time, excellent fairways, firm greens and well kept bunkers. A very good variety of holes.Practice area has both grass and matts with a practice bunker and a pitching area.
Beautiful putting green. Friendly staff and a real test of golf, touch and feel needed on the firm greens and undulating fairways can provide various lies. A great day out.

Relatively new course with some areas of tree still to mature. Well kept greens. A few difficult holes but a fair course for golfers of all levels. Some holes with water hazards. Good food

Fast becoming my favorite golf course.
Hats off to the Grounds Staff, who keep the course in excellent condition year round, although flooding of the greens can be a problem after heavy rain.
A lovely mix of holes, provides a different challenge from every tee, and you really have to think a few shots ahead, to get the most from each hole. When the wind picks up, you find you are reaching for longer and longer clubs, especially as many approaches are to raised greens.
When the sun is out, the course is majestic, especially the back 9.
Highly recommended.

An excellent course that presents an nice mixture of birdie opportunities and challenges for course management. The course is kept in fantastic condition, with fast greens and some great views from holes looking back down to the clubhouse on the back 9. Its a hilly course, but I wouldn't by any means let that put you off, unless you stuggle for fitness and want to walk.
There are two areas in which the course could be improved in my opinion: -
1. The bunkers are well placed but the sand isn't particularly good with plenty of stones and it appears that they are not well raked.
2. If you like a bit of water on the course then you may be disappointed. With the odd exception (that doesn't make you think too much) the ccourse is dry.
The extra facilities on site are generally good. Driving range is very good with nice mats and a grass area, although could do with some more tees on the mats.
Club house was not used but seemed ok.
Overall a bargain at £24 during the week and even resonable at £30 on the weekend.
I'll definately be playing there again!!

Played 18 holes there with a friend today as I'm looking to join a club in the area.
First the downside , I have to get it out of the way as I cant find another fault. It's undulating as in very hilly and if you're not too fit play here regularly and you soon will be !
The upsides : despite paying £30 each to guest at a course you can join for only 700 a year , we were both very suprised by this course. The 18 holes are varied with real thought having gone in to the challenges of each hole but the course always seemed fair even when challenging. There are short testing par 4 holes with definate birdie potential and even I made one (shock). The course is no gimme at par 72 yellow sss 70 as there are challenges also which is why I think the course is so fun to play.
The fairways were lush green and the tees and greens were very well kept. This course was as well kept as many 'private members ' courses I have played and is a credit to the greenkeepers. The greens were suprisingly fast and looking lovely. Although on ex farmland it was more like a parkland course and played like one too with the surrounding views being exceptional.
The clubhouse is fairly basic but nothing wrong with it at all and the food though I didnt try it on this occasion was obviously very fairly priced , I'll try it soon as I will be going back for sure and I'm tempted to join.
I would recommend a game at this club to anyone though I think charging £30 for visitors on a Friday is a bit steep, I'm sure members guests are quite a bit cheeper.
Regards Mas

Blind opening hole but not very long. Still a tough course to play because of the winds and slopes.
Need to be a good positioner of the ball to get a good round in here.

When Whitehill is in good condition it is a fabulous golf course.
Extremely challenging, well laid out, well presented.
Only downside is the biggest hill climb is on the 18th, when you are most knackered!!

My home golf club. A real test of one`s skill as due to the gentle hills (as suggested by the name) it is very unusual to get a level lie, the ball is usually either above or below your feet, sometimes by as much as 12 inches. Well worth playing!

Excellent course, well maintained, with wide variety of holes, especially the 17th, where with a good drive over a pond there is a chance of an eagle.

A wonderful course. Stunning, challenging and maintained to an excellent standard. Set in rural Hertfordshire (near Ware) this course provides a little bit extra than most courses within the area. You can expect to pay a little more therefore, but it is worth it. The Buggies complete with Sat Nav informing you of yardage from ball to pin after each shot is a nice touch too.
