Wharton Park Golf Club
The 6,435 yd, Par 72 course designed by Howard Swan, is constructed to US PGA standards and comprises 4 par 3s, 10 par 4s and 4 par 5s. The course has large trees, wide fairways and a good sized, well established greens with the landing areas having strategically-placed bunkers. It is a most attractive course to play, offering many interesting features in a wide range of varying settings which include water features on the 14th, 16th and 18th fairways. the course is extremely taxing for an o.a.p if you are playing more than one game a week i would advise a buggy

Enjoyed one of my best rounds here, and even if you don't, the views & scenery make up for it! Be warned though, this is quite a hilly course so use a motorised trolley... Greens were in very good condition.

excellent club all round. very friendly welcome. course built around a hillside so lots of up and downs tho nothing too strenuous. £15 with a 2-fore-1 weekday. course a mix of heathland, and woodalnd.
