Western Gailes Golf Club
Founded in 1897 and situated four miles north of Prestwick Airport on the Ayrshire Coast, Western Gailes is recognised as one of the finest and more exacting links courses in Scotland. It is an Open Qualifier for Troon and Turnberry, and has played host to the Curtis Cup, the PGA Championship and the Scottish Open.

Excellent links course - unlucky to play in rain and high wind. Did not extract the pleasure that is undoubtedly to be had here. (Enjoyed a birdie at the first).
Green fee is excessive - but in relation to other 'name' courses probably in proportion.Value for money
