The Weald of Kent is a beautifully maintained 18 hole parkland golf course set in rolling Kent countryside with far reaching views. With many elevations, lakes and hazards the golf course is designed to challenge the most confident of players, but the well-maintained and wide fairways are forgiving to the golfing beginner too. Location
Location: From Maidstone Take the A229 (Hastings Road) out of Maidstone town centre. Follow the A229 to the Wheatsheaf junction with the A274 (signposted Tenterden). Take the A274 left hand lane passing through Sutton Valence and on towards Headcorn, the Weald of Kent is approximately 2 miles on the left. From the M20 motorway Leave at junction 8 signposted to Maidstone and at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A20 Ashford Road signposted to Lenham. Follow the A20 taking the 2nd exit at the roundabout still signposted to Lenham and at the 3rd roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Penfold Hill (B2163) signposted to Leeds Castle. Keep to the B2163 and at the crossroads turn left onto the A274 Maidstone Road, which is signposted to Tenterden. Once you have passed through Sutton Valence and on towards Headcorn, the Weald of Kent is approximately 2 miles on the left.

I've never known them to play off temporary tees or greens. The greens are well above average in comparison to other similar clubs. All staff, from the pro to barpersons are very helpful which helps create a very relaxed

Played xmas eve...great course conditions...shame about all the other hackers with no respect for rules or etiquete...I know courses are desperate for footfall but there is a limit !!

A nice golf coarse and very well maintained ,the first 6 or 7 holes are a bit up and down but after that you have some very different holes that tests your thinking as a golfer as there are ditches to contend with on many holes . A good score is to be had if you make the right choices about laying up or taking on the ditches.Value for money there is no better if you go onto the clubs web site and print of there two for one vouchers .We payed £15.00 after 1pm on a Saturday and if your lucky like me and play well and win the cash you may get your round payed for by your friends.

Fairways could be better, but everything else was excellent. You have to navigate over ditches on most of the holes when you tee off, they are at various lengths some you can drive over comfortably some you may have to lay up. The greens were in great condition and you have water to contend with on 3 or 4 holes which made it interesting. If your playing reasonably well and you keep out of the ditches you should shoot under your handicap, not the hardest course you will ever play. We payed £15.00 on a Saturday afternoon as we had 2 fore 1 vouchers, normal price £30.00, not sure i would pay that much but over all a pretty good course and i would definitely go back...

Played the course this morning, I must say it was in great condition. Greens were excellent & the hospitality was really good. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to just go out and have a good round of golf.

I have played this course a few times and I have to say that I disagree with some other reviewers comments.
The course is interesting and can challenge the average golfer especially with the well placed ditches and water hazards.There are some big Par 4's and enjoyable Par 5.
I would recommend this course to players that enjoy a good day out

Some challenging and interesting holes, especially the par 3s and the par 5 over the lake, greens played very well. there are a few too many mundane and similar holes though but overall an enjoyable course
