Wanstead Golf Club was established in 1893 and offers a warm welcome and a challenging 18 holes. The Course is set in beautiful parkland and has hosted many of the major events in the Essex County calendar and is the home of the prestigious Armitage Cup. You will need a handicap certificate and knowledge of golfing etiquette, but we guess you would expect that from a long established club!Book a Tee Time

A well set up golf course, short walk from Wanstead underground station. Friendly staff and nice putting green adn chipping area. Did have a dispute with a member about where our trollies were standing. The resident pro and another of the members assured us it was them in the wrong (the members were rude but also played in a 5ball, so clearly dont have a clue about rules and etiquette themselves). Would go back there, as this didnt put me off completely.

WAnstead is a lovely club. The greens were in amazing condition, very quick! Due to very good drainage, in the hot weather the fairways suffer a little bit, and were bare in places. The members were very friendly and the 19th is very nice, and a great way to finish off the round. Highly Recommended.

This has to be my fav course on the other side of London. It reminds me of the Gymkhana Golf club in Tanzania Arusha.
