Walsall golf club is a gem of a course located in the middle of suburbia. The tree lined parkland course is bag carrier friendly but buggies are available at a reasonable price. This is a risk or reward course and if you can move the ball off the tee left to right or right to left at will you can score well. The greens are small by modern day standards but beautifully maintained. The course has really strong par 3s and it is very easy to fritter shots away. There are numerous well positioned bunkers but they could do with some more sand in. The course is well maintained and the off course staff are always available and helpful. This course has a host of top amateur golfers as members and it is clear...if you can play good golf you can play here and enjoy. Practice facilities are good but make sure you bring your own balls...nice change to hitting crappie range balls. All in all a great place for a day out....give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Top tip.....do not miss greens pin high as very difficult to up and down....if in trouble play short of the green...trust this is top advice! out
