Walsall Golf Club
The course was redesigned by Dr Alister Mackenzie in 1929. He was working on the course around the same time as he was designing the Augusta National Golf Course, home of the Masters.

I've been playing at Walsall this spring and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The lack of tee-off times is refreshing.
The members have been nothing but friendly and courteous.
The Team in the pro-shop having been superb.
The Course is beautiful.
Its tree line and offers challenges with many bunkers and tree lined fairways.
No bad points.

The greens were generally in very good condition and the course fine but not as tough as I expected. Clubhouse was busy and expansive with a excellent patio to watch the golfers coming in.

I literally walked into club shop then started playing so I couldn't comment on off-course facilities although I did see food being served from the ninth green!!
Fairways - 5/10 Very Damaged due to tractor tracks. V,V Poor Markings.
Greens - 9/10 Superb.
Tees - 3/10 V Poor
I don't know whether i'm expecting too much (It is the 18th December!!, but for £30 I expected a little better)Value for money
