Worth a try

The course was in great condition and the 16th is and excellent hole. The finish on the 18th is slightly underwhelming considering the holes leading up to it. The constant building work going on around some parts of the course as more villas are built can be annoying when on the tee. I was there recently and played Quinta Do Lago North and South more, however I will play here again I'm sure.

the course is good, the greens are extremely fast and it was february when I played. the fairways too were incredibly fast
the issues is the price, if you book as part of a package it's ok, but a round on off season at 160 EUR and 9 EUR just to rent a trolley is expensive, feels like you're being ripped off - especially as there are plenty of good courses one can play for less

Excellent Condition. Stunning views on a few holes
One of the best kept courses in the Algarve. Earlybird specials on Teetimes.ptThe signature #16 has stunning views. Lots of sand on all the holes but it's white powder like Florida in the USA. It's a long course. I don't recommend walking it. It also has a lot of hills. The tee boxes were sandy on 28-2-2024 but still in decent shape overall. There is quite a bit of water also, along with several bottlenecks in the fairways that come into play demanding a well placed tee shot.

Disappointing Return
Having not played the course for many years I was looking forward to my round, mainly to play the Royal course but we played the Ocean on the day the round however was spoilt by a course marshal who I suggest should receive some training who had no clue on course management or customer service.Reviewer Rating

Today’s Golf
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole ambience of the clubhouse and Ocean course. A couple of negatives in that the pace of play was horrendous and people didn’t rake the bunkers or repaired pitch marks on the greens.Reviewer Rating
