Played 17th April. Forball deal £15 a head. Very friendly and helpful Pro Shop. We have played Upavon many times and lost many balls there - but the course seemed to be less fierce than usual. The lost ball cout was low. The course was in excellent condition. Looks like they have been making improvements which is good news. Course was also busy. Everyone in our group really enjoyed themselves. Highly recommended.

First time played in winter, a most unpleasant day had snowed overnight but all was clear when played, very strong bitter NW wind made judgement of distance very difficult and 'good' shots bad - not fault of course. Despite it being January and the rough lower than the summer, still lost a few balls. One for a pleasant summers day. A tough test which put my skills to the test and the course

Played here after not being able to secure a tee at our members course. Called up in the morning and we were told to just turn up for a discounted fee. For winter time this course was in excellent condition. A good length with some short holes and for a Downland course it had some charector and stunning views. Quite a mix in green sizes with some postage stamp holes. Course was fully open apart from the 8th where some work is being carried out on the tee and path. For me the signature hole was the 16th Par 4 dog leg right. Club house isnt great, catered for cheap drink & food and had a bit of a social club feel rather than a golf course club house. Worth coming again for the course at winter time.

Good challenging course with difficult to read greens. When the weather is a bit windy it makes it hard to control your shots which makes you try harder to get on the fairway, overall good course (Round played: Sep 2014 - Score: 98 Handicap: 24)

Lovely quality fairways and greens. Hilly but forgiving (you shouldn't lose too many golf balls). (Round played: Nov 2013 - Score: 98 Handicap: 25.8)

Lovely course in a picturesqe setting, hard holes but fair apart from the rough, far far too long, if you went in there it was lost. It slowed down the pace off the round to a crawl, as people were looking for their balls. The staff at the shop and in bar afterwards were excellant. Would relish a trip back, as long as rough shorter, more fair. (Round played: Jul 2013 - Score: 118 Handicap: 28)

First time I played this wonderful course. A good mate recently joined so I ventured down to Wiltshire to join in for a round (a good one hour drive) and I was not disappointed. A very hilly course (I would suggest a buggy) coupled with the strong winds and at times torrential rain made the game quite difficult. There are some very difficult holes on here and thats before you hit the green. Once on these immaculate (almost links type) greens there was rarely an easy putt. Some stunning views all around the course. Excellent par 3s, picturesque and postage stamp greens and a monstorous par 5 on the 13th.

After the game I sampled the delights of the clubhouse, if I am honest the clubhouse is somewhat dated but has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The service was first class.

Overall; an excellent day spent and a course i can hope to return to very soon. (Round played: Apr 2013 - Score: 90 Handicap: 12.2)
