Very wet, 4 temporary greens, have never seen the course in a bad condition so this was a shock

Disappointed
Have played some great courses in Surrey but I do not feel it’s even in the top ten, layout wise has some nice holes but nothing special, condition was ok but that’s all and certainly not amazing for the Surrey area that can charge a small fortune for membership. Old Established course and clubhouse. Smallish Greens. Strage layout in that you are frequently crossing a road but its not at front 9, back 9 intervals. You cross the road at 8, play the 9th, walk up long steep hill to come back down the 10th and then cross the road again for 2 holes.
First and Third hole are complete blind shots, 11th and 12th run right alongside a main road (whatever you do dont hook it here).

Tyrrells Wood
An unusual course spread across two areas where you cross a local road three times. Quite hilly and also quite long. The winter condition of the course was good.Reviewer Rating

Challenging, hilly course with some long par 4's. Greens were in good condition. Plenty of parking and a lovely club house with goof food.

I am an Academy member and will likely take full memberships from June 2019. The course is a picture at the moment & will be even better when the various improvement works have been completed.

A friendly golf club with history and character. The course spans over rolling hills that provide some stunning views. The hills can make for tricky lie so concentration and accuracy is a must. The course is well maintained, with good greens, and drainage is aided by its chalk base.
