What the club says: Home to 3 fantastic, traditional links courses located within the town of Troon. All 3 courses start and finish at the recently refurbished clubhouse.

Darley – recently tamed, but still recognised as one of the most challenging courses to play to your handicap.

Lochgreen – historical Open qualifier where Jack Nicklaus qualified for his first ever Open, a unique mix of links and parkland holes.

Fullarton – the shortest of the three, where rounds often take less than three hours to complete. Ideal for the beginner, it still offers enough of a challenge for the more experienced golfer as accuracy is key on the short holes.

The course has deteriorated over the past 20 years. Greens are still good but the course is covered in animal burrows. You're almost guaranteed to be in one every round. Season ticket still represents good value.

A Good Test

This is a smashing course. Nice wide fairways but a good test as a links course. A good length with longish par 3's.

Not worth the money

Fullarton .Nice course , well looked after but not to trying. However lack of score cards,(apparently due to covid),No numbers on the tees making it difficult to navigate for the visitor.
Fine for a quick hit round.

Lovely setting for a course. Most holes are quite similar and fairly short. Still a challenge if you dont find the fairways

Really Enjoyed it

First Trip up to Scotland to play golf and a great way to start. Lots of sunshine and nice consistent greens. I just need to avoid the heather!

Unforgivable gem

Great course only low rated because next to secondary school and sometimes missing the odd rake but trust me it's a lot more difficult than the lochgreen which the golden bear played as open qualifier once . I love it and it can destroy your round with there 6 s and lost balls. This course is part of south ayrshire 8 season ticket and along with lochgreen ,belisle and front 9 of dalmilling and goran are best municipal courses anywhere
