Troon Municipal Golf Club
There are three links courses attached to Troon Municpal Golf club; two of which are championship courses LOCHGREEN The most testing of the three, has been used as an Open Championship qualifying course. 18 holes, 6,785 yards, par 74 (SSS 73). DARLEY 18 holes, 6,360 yards, par 71 (SSS 72). FULLARTON Ideal for beginners. 18 holes, 4,870 yards, par 64 (SSS 63).Contact Information

This must be one of the best run municipal courses I have ever played. The green staff should be commended on their work and based on the green fees you pay it is a benefit in the current economic climate, I would recommend giving each of these three courses a try.

best of the three for me. within my ability as the other two are too long and very challenging. enough par 4s around 260-320mark to make it enjoyable whilst not sending your card thru the roof. played of handicap in mid teens.

A fantastic course. Suitable for beginners but also a good test for established golfers. There are three courses to play and it is advisable to book your tee. You can just turn up but do not expect to get onto the course straight away.

Despite being open with easy access from local houses, the greens are in great condition and there are some tricky holes with gauze and heather a pleantly. you need to turn up with your 'A' game if you are to score well. A great value test of Links golf.

Would not rush to play the DARLEY, tees are a real mess, rubbish everywhere, no rakes in bunkers. Kids from local school wander all over the course.
