Torphinhill is a great value for money course, it's challenging yet not too difficult for the higher handicap player. The course is now in excellent condition after a very wet summer. The views over Edinburgh, Fife and beyond need to been seen. There's always a warm welcome in the clubhouse for visitors.

Having read some of the reveiws I was expecting a course on the side of a mountain what I found was a very nice course The 3rd hole was very similar to the 1st at the Glen with the second shot to a plateau green . The 4th a short par 4 up a hill, apart from the 3rd and 4th rest of the course is a very fair test of golf. the 16th is a testing par 3. The course was in good condition

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff and clubhouse. The course itself is a brutal climb, but the views are stunning. Inaccuracy off the tee is punished. a challenging but enjoyable course.

Make sure you bring your hiking boots because this is a HILLY one! the course is pretty decent but long and very tiring walking up lots of hills. The last few holes are a bit spectacular. Facilities were good and the starter only charged us a midweek rate which was nice.

Well managed course in good order, very hilly in places where you gradually get to the top of the course with magnificent views. Very friendly club house.

Short heathland course with some tricky holes and stunning views of the City of Edinburgh. The 15th Tee is the highest point in the city. Excellent greens and only 2 holes climb hills so once you are up there, enjoy the views, you feel as though you are out in the country and are surrounded by the Pentland Hills. Good value for money and well worth playing – better than some of the well known Edinburgh courses.
