What the club says: Set in the peaceful and rugged countryside of the Upper Calder Valley but within easy reach of Rochdale, Burnley and Halifax, Todmorden Golf Club, formed in 1895, has a compact 9-hole golf course set on a plateau 400 feet above the town and enjoys magnificent panoramic views of the town centre and the surrounding Pennines.
Laid out in 1905, our par 68 Course can justly claim to be one of the oldest 9-hole courses in Yorkshire and, with its narrow fairways, testing rough and excellent sculptured greens, provides a realistic challenge for golfers of all handicaps. Always in immaculate condition, the course is continualy undergoing improvements to maintain this high standard.

Course in great condition, started off as only players on course and no hold ups anywhere. Greens appeared excellent. Course is high up with stunning views. Lovely July day with high winds and intermittent horizontal showers sent my playing partners scurrying to the car park but I braved it out. Not a great score but tricky conditions doesn’t begin to cover it and enjoyed the day. Beware if travelling in near future as road from town centre to club is shut with long and tricky to find diversion route

Nice course with great scenery

Played Todmorden GC for first time in open event. Friendly welcome in clubhouse, no pro shop. Small putting green and chipping area in front of clubhouse, couple of practice nets. Bit of a climb up to first tee. Course itself in good nick, greens true but a little slow. Cracking little course to play, 9 holer but after playing first 9 was looking forward to playing the holes again. Especially like the par 3 7th/16th from elevated tee. Stunning scenery all around. Well worth a go for scenery alone.

Lovely round, shame you’re not allowed to play on the fairway in winter.

A great moorland course with stunning views. The most welcoming of members who allowed me to join them in their swindle comp. Will definitely return in the sumer

A fantastically well kept course with great views in all directions.
Green fees very reasonable. Club house facilities have restricted hours so it's worth taking refreshments out with you or you may go thirsty!
