Three Locks Golf Club
The club boasts a picturesque course situated alongside the Grand Union Canal between Leighton Buzzard and Bletchley in Buckinghamshire.
With the River Ouzel winding its way through the parkland course, an unsurprising feature is the many water hazards that come into a typical round of golf.
The water adds to the character and attraction of this 6,000 yard course and provides a challenge in every round for golfers of all standards. Contact Information

For late November, course was in pretty good condition. Few fairly tight holes to start, which makes it a challenge to get off to a good start.

We play this course every now and then. Twig light is £10 after 3pm in June and compared to all the other courses Milton Keynes has to offer, this is the best. Windmill costs lots and very poor. No real challenge. Abbey Hill is poor - though the members think it's the best in MK.... it is far from it.
Three locks is a challenge on holes 2, 3 and 4, making the score card hard to keep low. After hole 5 things start to open up more and a lot more easy. Lots of water and still a challenge. Par 3's are all good - 150 yard to 180 yards, but all a problem if you miss the green. Par 5's are all long and good.
Course is in great condition - so well worth a look. The Course

Very picuresque course with some trully memorable holes with stunning views.
As many have said on here already a very hilly front nine, followed by a flatter back. The front 5 - 6 holes are still pretty new and are nowhere near as mature and picturesque as the rest, but the challenge is made up for with the undulations.
Majority of the course is mature, with plenty to worry about off the tee. Club selection is key with many a sharp dog-leg to keep the driver in the bag.
Condition has always been first rate when i've played, although the newer greens do differ in pace to the established ones.
New club house and restaurant is nearly completed and the food is good.
Really just missing a decent practice area and driving range to make it perfect! The Course

I love the course and the variety of holes but the greens were ever so poor, they were the slowest greens that I have ever played on, they were covered in sand and what i could only describe as rubber bits (they may have been treating them) usually the greens are excellent so i would def go back. You have to love the hilly fron nine and the long and challenging flat back 9.

First time I've played here. The course has got plenty of character and with a good contrast of challenges - dogleg left, dogleg right, plently of water and some tricky approach shots if your first is a little wayward. I'm reasonably fit but realised why plenty of groups had a buggy half way round. The course is a little contrived and the distance between green and next tee is sometimes a little stretched. This said, it more than makes up for this minor misgiving with well groomed fairways and greens, spectacular settling, course challenges and friendly staff. I'm looking forward to playing again now that I have some course knowldge.
