Thorpe wood is a great course and one of the best value public courses around. The holes are fairly open so don’t punish a poor drive by more than 1 shot. You can usually finish the course with the ball you started with which is rewarding in itself! The course is fairly long however the open fairways usually allow you to use the driver regularly. The only downside of Thorpe wood is that being a public course, the greens tend to get a lot of punishment so they tend to be kept of the slow side.

Nice open course. Able to resist the winter extemes and stay open all year round. Could do with some tee directions on the course for those who are unfamilar

A very good course in excellent condition. a very tough test as there are some very long par four holes. may lack a little character and would suit better to longer hitters. this is not to detract from it being a top pay and play course and is well worth a visit. good and well stocked pro shop and a very warm welcome from all of the staff. we had a good day out and it was a decent test. give this course the thumbs up!

Very nice course, greens not in the best condition but overall very good value for money, Can be abit slow due to the amount of people on the course.

Im am a huge lover of this course and so far this year it has never let me down, if anything my golf has not done this course justice. The fairways are tidy and neat, as for the greens they are true, fast and just perfect. FANTASTIC

Played in the 1st week of march and once again this course was in very good shape from the tee to the fairway and the greens you will not find a better course for the money anywhere in the uk and luckily for me it's right next door.

played towards the end of the thaw, as is expected the 3rd,4th and 5th (parallel to the river nene) were playable but tricky and in part waterlogged

a very good course with a great test for all levels of golf, you need to be able to drive, long and short iron and putt, if one of these is letting you down on the day your round will be a high scoring one,an great all round course with lovely people and great facilities. excellent value for money

Nice course in open parkland with lake water on some holes. Very enjoyable to play and excellent value midweek and twilight hours.
This is a sister course to Orton Meadows which is just a few miles away and local to Peterborough.

Great course for long drivers, very forgiving as poor drives can be easily followed up by good recovery shots. Greens is challenging but easy to salvage a overcooked short iron

The greens are getting faster as the weather is becoming warmer. The new par 3 on the 14th is very nice, as is the new driving range.

Very good FVM the course is in good condition and width is very generous. A bit too long for us shorties so you need to use all of your handicap to get round in a fairly good score. Over-all a very good course for all.

First time playing at this course, and was amazed as to the high standard of the greens and fairways, possibly the best looking and challenging course i have played within the cambridgeshire and northamptonshire area.
