Since opening for play in 1907, Thorpe Hall has proved to be a fair but stimulating test for golfers of all abilities.
Although modest in length by the standards of modern course design, recent additional fairway bunkers give longer hitters pause for thought while the ever present mature trees that line the majority of the fairways provide the main defence of the course against all players. Nice tight mature parkland course. Greens in very good condition and very hard to read due to subtle contours. All day ticket for visitor is £50 so only value if you can play at least 27 holes.

Without a doubt the best greens I have ever played on. Rest of course was so well kept. Rough was very difficult to play out of and provided a good challenge. Is very expensive to play though and is a proper members club with lots of law abiding members.

When the wind picked up it was very tricky. Greens were spongy to putt on but were firm to approach, even with a 9 iron in my hand! Rough was penalising but considering I haven't played for a while, I think I scored decently.
