The best thing about our round was the staff in the clubhouse, a credit to the club. The £27.50 for 12 o clock on Saturday in January was twice what it was worth. I would have expected a far better standard of fairways and greens for this price even in the summer. A good course layout let down by poor fairways and a inflated green fee.

Thorney Lakes -
This course is maturing well as the trees become more of a factor in your game. The rough, although quite short, will still grab and hide your ball so dont hit it there! Pity the lakes dont play more of a part but if your not on sng you may be relived. It will provide a testing course for all abilities although you should be able to shoot your handicap or below. Well stocked pro shop and friendly bar staff, worth a visit.......The Course

Played the Lakes course 27/07/11 as a four ball, well kept course, greens very fast. to say its a lake course is a bit tongue in cheek, a few good holes over water thats about it. The 18th is a peach, leaves you with a big smile.

I play the Fen course mostly (of the two courses the other is the Lake course and have yet to play it) and enjoy it.
The bunkers are not much to worry about, but the greens are very varied in their speeds, and have tricky undulations and breaks.
Fairways are in good nick, and the rough is very forgiving.
A good course for people to play who are either new to golf or are looking to improve their confidence. The Course

Two 18 hole courses and and average par 3.
The fen course is (as you'd expect) exceptionally flat, with a few poorly maintained bunkers there to give you an added challenge.
Greens are of an average standard but work is being done to improve all aspects.
Can be very hard work on a windy day! I've not played the lakes course.
Exceptional value for money at all times. The Course
