Thorne Golf Club
Thorne boasts 3 elegant water featured holes as well as tight fairways that are watched over by nearly 6000 fully developed trees. The course is family owned by Mr & Mrs. Richard Highfield and the course is managed by their son Edward & the clubhouse by daughter-in-law Hannah. We welcome players of all ages and abilities. Our course has been designed with a variety of holes that are both easy for the beginner yet challenging for the most avid golfer.Contact Information

After only starting the game this year after about 24 years of not playingi have now visited this course 4 times and found it to be a nice course (except on a bank holiday) with a great feature 18th.

Cheap venue for golf on level ground. Has some interesting holes and is not usually all that busy. Has a par 3 to start and a tricky par 4 to finish, where the green is surrounded on three sides by water. Water appear in a few other locations around the cvourse, but mainly tree lined holes.

A short, but tricky course.
On paper it looks a doddle, but miss the fairways and a bogey is a good result.
The greens are quickish and tricky to read with subtle undulations. The only downside to this course are the ropey tee boxes

Now £13 for 18 holes on a weekend but Value for Money is the best around for miles. Greens are currently long but suprisingly quick and agree there are many hazards along the way. Not many holes for drive and log Iron though but for £13 its a great place to practice on.

A lovely short course, most holes a driver and short iron. The fairways are quite tight so hitting the it is a must. Plenty of sand and ditches to keep you thinking about the next shot. One of the best value for money course in this area only £11 for 18 holes.
