Thornbury Golf Centre offers a comprehensive selection of facilities to accommodate players of all ages and abilities. Parent Company, Burhill Golf Centres has recently made substantial investment in the development and improvement of the Main Course and Par 3 and as a result Thornbury has gained a reputation for being one of the best quality pay and play golf centres in the area.
The Par 3 course is challenging for both beginners and advanced players, and the driving range offers well lit practice facilities with shelter from the elements.

Course Information
Location
Location: FROM THE EAST Proceed along M4 follow signs for M5 south to junction 16. Follow directions for Thornbury via A38. The Golf Centre is signposted left at the traffic lights next to Berkeley Vale Motors. Travel along the B4061 for approximately one mile. The Centre is on the left. FROM WALES Proceed along the M48 to the junction of the M5. Follow signs for M5 South, then see directions FROM THE EAST. From the South west exit M5 at junction 16 and follow directions for Thornbury via A38. FROM THE NORTH Exit M5 at junction 14 and follow signs for Thornbury A38. Proceed along A38 for 5 miles. At the trafficlights (Berkeley Vale Motors) turn right along B4061. Thornbury Golf Centre is a mile down the road on the left.

Heavy downpour the day before and the corse was very wet, with a number of puddles on greens and in bunkers. On one hole the flag was in the middle of a very big puddle and unplayable. I had to pull out an old hole and put the flag in that. I've played this course many times and it is usually in a brilliant condition.

Played the High Course in September for £12.50 (as it was after 2pm)... great value. Interesting course with well designed holes all the way. Greens were quite poor, but I think we were unlucky with the timing (they'd just done a weeks maintenance on them). Tee positions were very different from White to Yellow, so offer a good test for low handicappers, as well as being a fairly kind course for my two mates who play off 20 or more. Very enjoyable round, and finished with a decent pint in the clubhouse (which is pretty good along with the pro shop too). Will defo visit again sometime.

Played the Par 3 "Severn View Course" on Saturday 30th July 2011. The course was busy and cost £12.50 per person. The greens were slow but well kept, flat and fairly large. A good test of your short game with the longest hole measuing 207yds and the shortest at 80yds.Not too many bunkers but some are very well placed, worth a game with some great views on some holes, noteably the 12th which has a severe drop down. Well enjoyed and carded a gross 55 (+1).

Played on Monday 25th August 2011. Booked 1st tee time at 07.04 and must admit that in 30 years of golf Thornbury rates as one of my best experiences. The greens were amazing and the cousre in very good condition indeed. We played on a 2 fore 1 at £11.75 per person, if you have not visited Thornbury i can say you won't be dissapointed.

played on 16th April, course playing very well, not a lot of gease poop on the 10th (locals will understand), the final bunker on the 11th still needs some work on it. the water was low in the hazards on the 17th (very minor). Some idiot tried to speed us up by hitting a drive near us (could have been any where), being held up in front didnt help (learn the rules, play to the people in front and wait).

Played this course on 17/4/2011. Only complaint was 35 minute delay on opening tee due, I suspect, to overbooking. The course was however in fantastic condition for this early in the season with receptive greens on which you could putt confidently. Aprofessional pro shop and lovely bar. Recommended.

good value for money club. has good facilities with pro shop ,bar ,dining area. Has a 9hole par 3coure ajoining with golf range on site. Very forgiving course and a pleasere to play, alway found to be in a good condition.Very well patronised club always in demand all the year round

pay and play course , must be one of the best around, course is allways in fab condition, great driving range , and massive putting area, the course itself is well layed out and is very popular. best hole for me is the 17 , you can go over the lake or lay up, those who go for it can be rewarded if you manage to clear the lake. i havent yet lol. thornbury also has a 18 par 3 course.
