What the club says: Why not make your golfing experience even better by choosing a course
that's as grand and soaring as you feel when you play? The
Staffordshire Golf Club's wooded parkland course offers some of the
most picturesque holes in the UK, with tree-lined fairways, fast
undulating greens and a huge dog leg amongst 60-foot tall firs.
Lose yourself in our avenues of pines, firs and rhododendrons. You'll
think for a moment that you're in the middle of Scotland! Our course
features a driving range and practice area where you can hit a few
balls around before committing to 18 holes, and our restaurant and bar
area is ready to serve you when you're finished. Come visit us today
and see why we are home to one of the most successful golf teams in
the west midlands.
We have recently changed the name of the club from Swindon Golf Club
to The Staffordshire Golf Club. Still the same great course - just a new name !

pleasant round, good greens, a slow 4 ball was annoying but overall fun day of golf

Not great and poor condition
Played this course recently and must say that the course was in poor condition, the tee boxes and fairways were cut to a length that was more a custom to being the first cut of rough.

The greens were the worst I've played on this year and ever, very slow, bumpy and showing signs of disease, with a distinct lake of root growth.

There are many areas around the course that should be GIR, but no signs of work being undertaken.

On the plus side the membership were very welcoming and friendly.

Sorry, but I won't be playing this course again.

hadn't played in a while some greens showed some cosmetic damage from the local wildlife but apart from that the course is good

Quirky layout - don't miss!!
Front nine: you hardly need a driver. short and tight layout. Precision and placement is the key to getting round. off-camber slopes with rock hard fairways no real bail out areas

Back nine: open's up slightly but again plenty of mature trees and brambles / gorse to catch you out. shot shaping a must on some holes and plenty of running the ball in.

Greens in good condition and putted well but not quick.

Driving range and short game area to left of the first tee,

clubhouse is nice along with changing rooms, friendly staff also.

Plenty of parking available, only downside for me the wrong side of Dudley, traffic hotspots even on a Sunday!!!!

As a beginner it's a tough course for your first ever 18 hole round. Would not hesitate to go back. Excellent course and great value for money.

Excellent course considering the rain we have had. A testing course where you have to think your way round. Tree lined with a number of dog legs and a few blind shots. Some gorgeous views from some of the holes. Challenging but enjoyable round. We got a great deal on 'teeofftimes', will definitely go back.

The course was in excellent condition considering the weather over the last few days. Fairway dry , allowing for considerable run on drives and long iron shots. greens true and fast. overall excellent value with the challenging holes .

The course was as always in amazing condition. Greens playing very quick with some challenging pin positions. Love playing the par 5 14th. Dogleg left requiring a draw following the lines of the pine trees .Then a narrow fairway leading to a well protected green.
Very good clubhouse serving great food. A real gem!!

A hidden gem. Pictureseque and well maintained course which is not overly long but with some narrow fairways. A fair challenge and a friendly club.
