Swindon Golf Club
Bridgnorth Road, Swindon, Dudley, Staffordshire, DY3 4PU United Kingdom
The Earl of Dudley originally owned and mined the land on which Swindon Golf Club resides. In 1974 the first nine holes were open and by 1976 there were eighteen. The course was originally known as “Blackhills” but since 1986 it has been Swindon Golf Club. Located only 8 miles outside Wolverhampton City Centre (on the Bridgnorth Road (B4176) it holds a constant surprise to visitors to find such an idyllic setting and provides continuous pleasure to its members. The course measures 6121 yards (par 71) and 5481 yards (par 72) for men and ladies. Do not be deceived by the yardage!! Good strategic golf is rewarded and not necessarily length. A recently refurbished clubhouse offers a relaxed, warm modern facility in tune with the needs of its visitors. Experienced and professional staff ensure your visit is always one to remember.Book a Tee Time

Arrived to be greeted by friendly staff who showed me were the first tee was and then as playing on my own was greeted by friendly members who asked me to join them in a round. Tees and greens in very good condition. great views from many of the holes and was very impressed with holes 13, 14, and 15 which were all lined with pines. Most of the holes on the course are tree lined making it very tight in places. Not a very long course but will definitely be back!

Played after work on a sunny evening - had a reduced round fee from £25 to £18 as a twilight round and running the risk of finishing. its worth the £18 but too steep for a midweek game at £25. Played well, course was in good condition, very good in fact, driving range is worn and in need of refurb so dont bother with it unless you have to! It is a challenging course, if your not straight it can punish you so think about your shots, better than most in the area because it is not an easy course and does make you think that little bit more! enjoy it !

A very challenging tree lines course, particularly the front 9. Take plenty of balls. Food good but not too sure about hospiality of catering staff, seemed to find it an effort and waited a long time dispite a low number of covers.
