Booked this using teeofftimes.co.uk and at £16 it is really good value. Fairways are reasonably wide (well kept) and very undulating. The greens are a real test as they are fairly small, but tiered with lots of slopes etc. Overall a good course that is well maintained and some interesting holes. I would happily return.

Beautiful rolling country course. Greens were in top notch condition.
Only criticism in my opinion are some of the harsh out of bounds. Some are very tight & narrow for a high handicapper.

This is my local course,although I am not a member.
My son's have been junior members and this has helped me play a bit more than usual.
The course is a difficult par 72 and very well maintained,with a number of difficult holes.The front 9 are easier than the back 9 but still a challenge. I believe the course record is only 68 which shows how challenging it is.
If there is one criticism it is the greens,which are hard all year round,and dont allow you to aim for flags as you have to bounce the ball in front and run it up most of the time.
I would recommend this course,it is only 12 or 13 years old and maturing all the time.

Sutton Hall is situated between Frodsham and Runcorn in Cheshire.
It is an excellent and challenging par 72 with a good clubhouse and changing facilities.
It is about 10 years old and is one of the best courses in the area.
If there is a slight letdown it is the absence of a good practice area for driving,chipping and bunker play,although there is a good putting green. Try to play with a member and it will only cost £12 weekdays and £15 weekends.Overall rating
