Beautiful parkland course, short but testing. Easy to walk, hard to score! Amazing facilities (and the films Goldfinger and Layer Cake had parts filmed here) but eye-wateringly expensive!

Not your average Pay & Play course we admit but if you do want to treat yourself once a year to a great golf experience then this course is just right for that treat. Everything about the course says quality, from the magnificent clubhouse to the wonderful manicured greens.
The designer of this course, Mr Colt, knew what he was doing. Bunkers are placed around the course on nearly every hole to catch the hit it as far as I can golfer. You really have to think your way around here if you are going to score well.

A frozen course greeted us on arrival and put paid to our 8.30 start. Once given the go-ahead by the Pro, the course slowly warmed to our play. Personally, I played out of my skin and consider myself lucky that the ropey greens and rock hard fairways didn't take the gloss of the great company I played with and the service that followed in the clubhouse. Would come back, but would need to talk to my bank manager first or rely on the lottery- the greens need some improvement to truly justify the price but then again, to actually play just after Christmas is a miracle!

A lovely parkland course in 3 sets of 9 located in a great setting steeped in history.
I was luckily enough to be invited but would be reluctant to pay full green fees as I believe there are many courses locally that a better VFM. In saying that it is a top course and quite exclusive.

A great parkland course steeped in history and very well located just outside london. The course design is excellent, as can be expected from Harry S Colt, with well located traps. However the fairways are wide enough to be forgiving if you fire a loose shot. Hotel and facilities are top knotch as well.

What can I say, James Bond regular top events. This course is fantastic.
Facilities are great and the practice area supplies the balls!
Can't really comment on the price given I played in a Corporate event but this is a course worth playing if you get the chance.

Just for the record, the 11th at Augusta was modelled on the 7th here.
This course does make you feel special, the club is fantastic and not as stuffy as some in this bracket.
You don't expect me to give this course a bad review do you? No, Mr Bond, I expect you to die...

A real golfers gem. The 7th is similar to the 11th at Augusta - I know this as I played with Colin Montgomerie on this hole.

Not cheap but if you want a golf course that makes you feel special this is it. Amazing clubhouse. I was lucky enough to stay over in one of the suites which was a great experience. The course has 3 x 9 holes. The 18 that I played were varied and challenging and all very very pleasant indeed.

A beautiful Parkland Course, set in the grounds of a Manor House. It is championship length, so you better be able to use your fairway woods.
Condition of the course was fantastic and greens fast. watch out for the 5th and 6th Greens, there're a real challenge to even the best golfers.
Club house and facilities A1 !
