Right on your doorstep St Marys has two excellent courses. The main course is maturing into one of the most picturesque and well conditioned 18 holes in the Vale of Glamorgan. Antiquated oaks, teasing bunkers and distracting water hazards are skilfully integrated into a very enjoyable round.

Seven Oaks (St Marys Hotel, Golf and Country Club)
The additional 12 holes of the Seven Oaks course were opened in Spring 1992. It's an interesting woodland course that's perfect for a quick round if you have some time to kill during your break.

Played the main 18 hole course on Sunday 3rd August 2008 in the rain. Course was full and played well, the greens were fast and very well kept. Nice selection of hole throughout the course.
The 10th lets the course down a bit for me as it's a 'gimicky' hole and very difficult to get the ball to stay on the green. If this was changed the course would of gained another star.
I would defenately play this course again and would recommend it. Cant wait to play again ( apart from the 10th )

Good society day, shame about the weather.
Well looked after by the pro shop (one of our party picked up a Ping G5 2nd hand for £50).
Greens were a bit picky, but then it was getting towards the end of the season and had been bad weather.

It's used by the agricultural college to teach greenkeeping. It's short, the greens can be a bit hit or miss, but it's only a fiver and ideal if you're learning golf. They are starting to realise the potential and are apparently going to spend some money on it. It can get quite busy, especially on a Sunday morning.
Bring your pound coins to pay in the machine otherwise it's £6 if you pay the attendant.
