The course is nine holes in undulating parkland and the total length for eighteen holes is 5,510 yards. Par is 66. Although relatively short by modern standards, the nine holes are full of variety, the slopes and hidden greens require accuracy and course management to achieve a good score; althought there are some very good driving holes, long hitters find little advantage over their weaker brethren. Situated on a hilltop just outside the picturesque town of Llanidloes. You will find a very friendly welcome and a beautifully maintained 'heathland' 9 hole course. The charges are very reasonable and the course drains well and is playable throughout the year. A driving range has recently been opened to augment the facilities. The views, particularly from the 9th tee are superb. Several of the greens are elevated, making the approaches trickier than first appearances suggest. And an unexpected free bonus is the air compressor, making the job of shoe cleaning at the end of your game really easy! This course is definitely a must when in mid-Wales.
