Disappointed
On Monday 20/9 myself and five other golfers played St Anne's Old Links. Lytham. We booked our tee times three months previously. The cost was £85 each for one round of golf. Upon arrival the greens were a disgrace it was like putting on nearby Blackpool beach. After the round I complained to the Course manager who told us it was maintenance week the week before. Why were we not told this upon booking. Every golf club is aware when their maintenance week is during the year, if we had been informed of this we would have not booked to play on this date. Failing that there should have been a reduced rate for the condition of the greens. To compound the visit after playing 18 holes we decided as usual to have a much needed drink after the round. Can you believe the bar was shut ! We were informed that this was due to staffing problems. Won't be visiting again. £85 for 18 sandy greens was out of order. Very disappointed.Reviewer Rating

nothing special, especially for the money. £45 and the par 5 5th was out of action!It was just a bit disappointing, i have played a lot better courses for a lot less money. moan over.

Played the course in fair weather, good condition.
Some minor repairs were being carried out by the staff, should be in great condition for the summer, played very well.
Miserable bar manager though, boasts about playing capability (think it was 2), but needs lessons in manners and customer service.

After being rained off at Lytham Green we were directed to this course, members tee-times are upto 9.30 and it was fully booked all day.
After a little phone call to the club captain we were allowed on at 9.25 as no members were waiting.
Lovley links course with very good greens, read the line and it went in.
The course is very well maintained and in execelent condition.
We even had a fly past by the Red Arrows.
Will be back to enjoy on a dry day.

Better course than I remember. For one f my first rounds of the year, confident I can get a score here however on th back 9, staying out of the bunkers is key and taking the penalty and not being too greedy is important. Pick your shots up on the front 9 and hold onto them, the last 4 holes are tough.

Lovely course fantastic greens. Not a blind tee shot. Played on a nice calm day but I can imagine this is a beast in the wind. Clubhouse is nice and welcoming as well.
