The undulating 18-hole parkland course, opened in 1973, measures 5912 yards, par 71 & provides a challenge to golfers of all abilities. It is one of the best kept municipal parkland courses in the North West and is open daily throughout the year from light until dusk. Each hole has its own unique features. Generally wide fairways do not unduly punish the high handicappers, but even scratch players will do very well to finish under par. Two par fives, a sprinkling of par threes and some short (but challenging) and not so short (and still challenging!) par fours make sure there is something for everyone.

Directions:
There are several entrances to Sherdley Park, all of which converge on the Clubhouse (The Tavern). The easiest route is via the A570 St Helens linkway. The park is on the right when heading North from the M62 junction. The entrance is close to the roundabout at the junction with the B5204 and is well signposted.
