The greens were in excellent condition and ran very true.
Luckily I only had to play out of 1 bunker. However, it was quite daunting as I could barely see over the lip so I guess it was approx. 6 foot deep!!. Some of our party weren't so lucky and had a few problems getting out on occasions, to much amusement in the bar afterwards..........
We paid £48 each which most of the group found a bit on the expensive side. I think this was more due to being surrounded at home by excellent courses such as the warwickshire, stonebridge, Hellidon lakes to mention a few where tee times can either be booked on-line or with vouchers making them a lot more reasonable £15 - £20 ish. I personally didn't mind paying the price as it was a one off for a golf break. However, we had such a good weekend there was talk on returning next year.
I would definately recommend the course for all playing abilities although if the day was particulary windy (we were quite lucky on that score) the course could be very tricky for higher handicaps.
