Sandiway Golf Club
Chester Road, Sandiway, Cheshire, CW8 2DJ United Kingdom
Its fairways are generous, but tree-lined with mature oak, beech and birch; the classic inland course trees predominate, and the picturesque back nine offers unrivalled views of Petty Pool, an old Cheshire mere, which forms a stunning backcloth, particularly on the eleventh and twelfth holes. The greens, although small by modern standards, are of the quality expected on a championship course.Book a Tee Time

Sandiway is a superb inland course, a mixture of heath and parkland, and eing largely based on sand, is in terrific condition all year round. Recent work on the course has thinned the trees so with extra light and wind, the greens are magnificent. Despite the 5th hole being SI 1, the tougher holes are on the back 9 - the 5th is only the 5th or 6th hardest hole which is a bit odd. An excellent test of golf and well worth a visit or two...or three.

Superbly kept course, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Course undulates quite frequently and provides a good challenge but holes 10-14 suffer from midges due to the nearby lake.
