Ryton Golf Club
Ryton Golf Club, founded in 1891, is located in the picturesque and historic heart of the Tyne Valley.A superb eighteen hole layout, the course is bordered by the River Tyne. It provides a good test for Golfers of all ages and handicaps. Players should not be deceived by comparatively short length of just over 6,000 yards, accuracy is required with many tee shots and approaches to greens.

although a short course at just 5762 yds. its quite tight with some crossing on a couple of holes and a need for accurate shots. all in all a very fair test.

If you can keep your drives on the fairways Ryton gives all golfers a chance to score well as it is not the longest of courses. Don't be fooled though, even when keeping your ball in play birdies and pars have to be earned. Anyone with a big slice is in for a tough day on this course.
The clubhouse is very pleasant but there is no pro shop.The Course

A short compact course but always a pleasure to play, probably more so for straight hitters !! Club house is very pleasantand the staff very friendly

I have found Ryton to be a very friendly course. It is quite a tight course but is very enjoyable if you can keep your shots straight. It is always well kept and not too punishing for the high handicappers like myself!
