This course is getting better and better. Just played there and the improvements over the winter are fantastic. Must go back in the summer

Superb course played today after the recent snowfall. Course was undergoing the installation of a new irrigation system, so there were 2 temporary greens (and one of those was because of a complete re-design rather than irrigation). Some cracking views available from some tees. Ultimately, extremely good and well worth a visit

Very good golf course. Excellent condition and lovely setting. Tough test of anyone's game, particularly on the back nine where there are a number of interesting tee shots.
Hosted our Ryder Cup style golf event for 20 lads in October 2011. Accommodating and very friendly.

Played two rounds at Royal Cromer in Sept 2011 as part of an annual golf society weekend. Overall I have to say we were very impressed with the club and the course. First impressions were good when the kitchen contacted me prior to arrival and asked if we wanted to pre-book food for our visit. On arrival bar staff and members were all friendly which really does make a difference. Overall impressions of the course were very good although playing into a strong wind on the Friday meant playing three long par 4's into the prevailing wind which made it a much tougher challenge than any of us expected. Admittedly that changed dramatically as the wind fell and sun came out on the Sunday and they were much more approachable.
The course develops well from a very pleasant parkland course to a really varied inland links. The big elevation change in the middle of the round adds a couple shorter par 4's with tricky elevated greens before you reach the signature Lighthouse hole at the 15th, this is followed by another lovely Par 4 teeing off from a elevated tee into a valley, very much like Hindhead G.C. Conditioning was generally pretty good as I hear they have a new greenkeeper from Hoylake although some of the bunkering could have been better. Thanks for a memorable weekend Cromer. P.S. Food was pretty good to. 12 Scampi!!
