What the club says: Roundhay Golf Club was established in 1922, and is located some four miles from Leeds town centre. The course offers a test for golfers of all abilities and standards. Set in mature parkland with many natural hazards scattered across it, providing you with a sound test of ability. Although a 9 hole course of 5250 over 18 tees, The course boasts some Alister MacKenzie style two tier greens. The 9th signature hole is a drive through two copse of trees, a good test for any golfer to finish with, a par is a good score.

Quality for the price.

Always enjoy this course, hole's varied and achievable part for someone of my limited ability. Worth every penny.

Very dry at the moment so ball runs well on the fairways a few of the greens are not in great condition at the moment but its was £11 for 9 holes so decent value

A great council course

What can I say about this golf club other than it's great value for money. ?9.90 for 9 holes is an absolute bargain on a weekday and it's quickly becoming the place for me to play good after work. I will say this review is possibly a bit bias as I have just shot my career best score here but even so it's always been a course I enjoyed. I would call this a great beginners course, the holes are fair and the fairways large enough so it's difficult to lose balls. All in all the only criticism I would have is that some of the greens could be a touch better in places but overall even those are good by council standards

Always a lovely 9 holes

It's nice and worthwhile is Roundhay, some challenging holes but each one is laid out well. Council run, lovely bar attached to it.

Good condition despite heavy rain

Considering the amount of rain we have had recently, the fairways and greens were in very good condition, with only very small amounts of standing water, and the light rough was well tended. A good short nine hole course

Course in good nick

A fairly short course but accuracy is required to make the greens, and some of the tee shots have a small target between the trees.

Course needs a bit of TLC

The course has gone downhill recently with the course conditions getting steadily worse.

The golf club does have the best pint in Leeds though and only ?3.50 for a San Miguel

Nice little tester

Fairways are not long, but you need to be accurate on this compact little course. Some greens are also in tight positions with uphill or downhill approaches. A pretty and enjoyable 9 hole course on the outskirts of Leeds

Not as good as it used to be

Sad to see this little gem in the state it is at the moment. Always was well kept and tidy but alas the greens were long and no fringes on the day I played. Great atmosphere in the clubhouse though and well worth a visit.
