Retford Golf Club
Retford Golf Club is situated to the south-west of the market town of East Retford. Road access is very good. Via the A1, from the south, we are 4 miles north from Markham Moor and from the north, 3 miles east from Ranby. There are good links to the M1, M18 and M180.
The Club was founded in 1920, originally six holes designed by Tom Williamson, and soon extended to nine holes. In 1990 a further nine holes were opened to give an 18 hole, 6409 yards, par 72 and S S S 72 course.Contact Information

Private members club, which is a pleasure to play in the summer, but might get a bit boggy in the winter. Mostly tree lined, with water coming into play on one hole. Very good mixture of holes. Large practice field, nice modern clubhouse.

Good layout and course design makes this an interesting challenge. Perhaps a few hundred yards short of being very tough, this course can never the less be a tricky customer and downright punishing if your ball striking is off colour.
The main defence Retford offers are the tee shots they're always tree lined and often very tight.
The 7th hole probably sums Retford up - only 300 yards long but a 90 degree dogleg. A hole which can be viewed as an opportunity to pick up a stroke - but it can just as easily be a card wrecker.
I also have to mention the greens which are nothing less than superb, fast receptive and full of tricky slopes and undulations.Club Facilities and Services
