Course Information
Rathsallagh is Championship Course measuring close to 7,000 yards with a par of 72. Set on 570 acres of rolling parkland Rathsallagh is remarkable for the number, position and maturity of the trees on the course and the definition they give on approach to the excellent U.S.G.A specified greens. The bunkering has been described as some of the best in Ireland, both in terms of construction and intelligent placement. The course has been highly acclaimed by the golfing press: “ Augusts without the Azalea .. as good a layout and challenge as you will find anywhere in Irish Golf “ ( John Redmond ) . “ a true championship course “ ( Christy O’Connoir Jnr ) . The clubhouse has a well stocked shop and services top class food. Rathsallagh also boasts the Brendan McDaid Golf Academy with facilities such as pitching and putting greens, driving range and the latest A Star computer aided coaching and teaching system. Home to numerous tournaments and events including the Irish PGA Club Pro Tournament 2006.

Absolute beauty
Played here on Saturday whilst on a short golf holiday in Dublin to watch champions league final. What a great course. It was quiet so felt like millionaires golf. Excellent layout, each hole with its own character and challenge. Was in lovely nick, fairways and greens pretty well immaculate. We played at hermitage the day before and this was on a different level, proper golf course not the cramped, up and down of the previous day. Hermitage was rammed with slow 4 balls, there were only 2 of us so not ideal - not a problem at rathsallagh tho. I guess the distance from Dublin explains the difference in how busy the courses are. Either way, do play this course you will not regret it, top quality congratulations to the green staff. Had a pretty good breakfast too.Reviewer Rating
